So Is Worship Just a Sunday Morning Thing?
Posted by Charles Billingsley on
You know, many people never equate the word "worship" with it being a lifestyle. Instead, we have relegated our worship to a specific place or time or a church service. It is, in many hearts and minds, all about that Sunday morning hour each week. But we find ourselves so busy living for other things, so worshiping God never becomes what it was really meant to be in the first place: that all-consuming, all-encompassing passion of our lives. We worship a God that cannot be contained, measured, or fully grasped; yet His mind is always on you and me. So how can we NOT worship Him with everything that is within us! Words on Worship...
Has God Given You a Vision for This Year?
Posted by Charles Billingsley on
Helen Keller once said "It's a terrible thing to see and have no vision." Vision is hope that is clearly defined. Vision is what sets the direction for your life. It is the motivator that moves us from simply existing, to really living. Every business owner knows that in order to succeed, there has to be a vision and a plan. The greatest commodity we have in our lives is not money…it is time. As we begin this new year, perhaps we should do a little self-inventory of how we spend our time. Effective time management can be an elusive thing. A farmer once reminded me "the most active chicken in the barnyard is the one who just had its head cut off." Sometimes that sums up our days. We are active for sure, but we are running without purpose or direction. ...

We all live for something. We all worship something or someone, too. What do you spend your time doing? Who or what do you think about all day? Who or what owns the affections of your heart? That which we live for is also that which we worship. But, we were really created to do just one thing...worship our Creator. Romans 11:36 tells us that everything comes from Him; happens through Him; ends up in Him. Jesus always has been and always will be King of Kings and Lord of Lords! He has always held the position of pre-eminence since before the beginning of time. He was is, is is, and always will be is. So praise Him today with all...
What is Your New Year’s Resolution?

It’s a new year! And in the minds of many of us, that means a chance for a new start in several areas of our lives…especially physically. Each year at this time there is a boom in the fitness business because the holidays are now past, spring is coming, and we are out to shed those pounds we put on over the Christmas season. But did you know that the Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 3:16 that our bodies are a temple unto the Lord? So we don’t need to exercise and eat right just for our sake, but also for God’s sake! Have you ever considered it an act of...
