  There is coming a day, when every living creature will bow before Jesus in worship.  Paul states this in Philippians 2. By this, Paul does not mean everyone and everything will bow in universal salvation, but rather universal subjugation. We have seen it many times in movies or pictures, when one is brought into the presence of royalty or greatness, the first thing they do is bow to their knees in reverence and humility. In Ephesians 3:14, Paul mentions praying from a posture of bowing his knees. This position of utmost humility was in contrast to the more normal posture of prayer in that culture in which they would pray standing with hands raised up.
