While tempted in the wilderness, Jesus linked worship and service when He replied to Satan’s tempting offer saying “…it is written, WORSHIP the Lord your God and serve Him only.” Could it be that when we SERVE others we WORSHIP our God? Many times we feel the temptation to build ourselves up in the eyes of friends, family, neighbors or co-workers. Today, I encourage you to resist that temptation. Instead, humbly serve others and as a result, you’ll WORSHIP the Living God. For, as Mother Teresa once said, “At the end of life we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made, or how many great things we have done. We will be judged by "I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was naked and you clothed me. I was homeless, and you took me in.”
