Are you lonely today?
Posted by Charles Billingsley on
It's surprising, but in a world of 7 billion people, thousands of mega cities, and hundreds of social networks, one of the biggest problems we face in this technological age, is loneliness. Sometimes, because of the chaos we live in, those around us are easily passed by and if we are not careful, even our most meaningful relationships are abandoned and replaced by whatever seems to be most pressing. But aren’t you thankful we worship a heavenly Father who has given us this promise of hope! “I will never leave you, nor forsake you." So if you are lonely today, turn...
What is a picture of perfect love?

Not far from my house in Lynchburg, VA sits a beautiful, perfectly shaped 100 year old oak tree. But what does perfect love look like? What SHOULD come to our minds is another tree: the old, rugged cross. It was on the cross, that Jesus, God in the flesh, the personification of love itself, gave Himself up for you and me…because He loved us. So, if He loves us that much, then the least we can do is love Him back by worshiping Him. To worship God...

But today, I want to remind you that it works the same way in our spiritual lives as well. Do you ever feel just empty…spiritually? Like your walk with God is slow, stagnant, or even non-existent? You love God, but you don't feel God working in your life? True love is way more than just a feeling…it is a commitment. Love never gives up, never looks back, and never turns its back. So I implore you today to keep...
Without love, we are bankrupt...

The apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 13, “No matter what I say, what I believe, or what I do, I am bankrupt without love." Have you ever considered the fact that you can be rich with money, but still live a bankrupt life? Every one of us have certain people in our lives whom we love and who we know love us. And each and every day we have the opportunity to make deposits into the lives of those people. So go ahead and send them an encouraging note or text. Tell them how much they mean to you. Or...
