To acknowledge God is to worship God

Posted by Charles Billingsley on

Two times in Proverbs 3:5-6 the writer uses the word all.  Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart and lean not on your own understanding.  In ALL your ways acknowledge Him.  You know what it means to acknowledge God?  The word “acknowledge” comes from the Hebrew word “Yada” which means to “Know.”  So another translation of this phrase could be "in all your ways KNOW God."  In other words…if we want to truly learn to trust in Him, we must get intimately acquainted with His word and His spirit.  It is in doing this that we find He wants to guide us in every area of our lives.  Our lifestyle of worship should be 24/7, 365 days a year.  Begin even now to worship Him in all aspects of your life.  Whether you are driving into work, sitting at your desk, working out, or taking a walk in the park, you can worship God by simply acknowledging Him in all things.
