Worship that imitates.

Posted by Charles Billingsley on

For years the phrase “What would Jesus do?” has been a popular saying among believers. WWJD. Everybody knows what it stands for.  But the question is do we really KNOW what Jesus would do? Have we studied His life and His word enough to react like He would react, to say what He would say, and to love like He loves?  There is only one way to do that.  We must spend time with Him and truly follow Him. George Guthrie once said, “A Christian profession of faith involves commitment of one’s life, not just a phrase on one’s tongue.” In other words, if we want to be more like Jesus, then it needs to be in word AND deed.  Be imitators of God and walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
