How passionate is your worship?

Posted by Charles Billingsley on

We worship that which we are passionate about.  And we are passionate about that which we worship. If you don't believe me, go to a college football game.  There you will see an incredibly accurate depiction of the right kind of worship…it's just the wrong god.  There is loyalty and dedication shown to our favorite team by wearing the team colors.  There is sacrifice made…as we spend enormous sums of money to get our tickets.  There anticipation and excitement…so much that we are willing to get there 3 hours early and park a mile away just to make sure we don't miss anything.  But most of all there is passion.  We passionately praise our team when they do well, and passionately mourn when they lose.  Can you imagine what our lives would be like if we approached worshiping God with the same passion with which we cheer our teams.  God deserves our passionate approach to worshiping Him.
