Yesterday was Father's day. My dad has always been my hero. But, like all of us, his time is limited on this earth. However, Isaiah 9:6 reminds us that we worship an everlasting Father who is with us throughout eternity. As everlasting Father, He is our provider. He owns it all and "shall supply all our needs according to His riches in glory." He is our protector. He knows and cares about every little detail of our lives. He is also our comforter. And in giving us comfort, He gives us strength for our long, and sometimes difficult journey. Remember, this life is a marathon and not a sprint. I encourage you today to take time and thank God for your earthly father. But then, look to your everlasting Father and place your trust in Him.
