Worship wherever you are

Posted by Charles Billingsley on

Sitting on a plane one early morning, I happened to look out the window just as the sun was rising above the thick, cloud-covered horizon.  It was one of the most spectacular sights I have ever seen.  In that moment, I was reminded that we worship a God who is both mighty and merciful.  He is mighty as Creator, Ruler, Sustainer and King.  Yet, He is merciful as Savior, Healer, Provider, and Friend.  The cloud cover immediately reminded me of my life...so riddled with doubt, sin, murky vision, and lack of faith.  But the beauty of that sun rising above it all reminded me of just how faithful God is to carry us out of all that. I witnessed a rising sun, but that moment drove me to worship the risen Son and to praise Him in that early hour for the salvation and grace I have received despite my position of unworthiness.  Today, wherever you are, take a moment and remember what Jesus has done for you.  He is King, and He is Friend...worthy of all worship...deserving of all praise!
