In a day and age where the word "love" is flippantly thrown about in reference to any thing from football, to food, and family, it is sometimes hard to get a real understanding of what real love looks like. So what does love look like? Well it's like Saint Augustine said, "Love has the hands to help others. It has the feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has eyes to see misery and want. It has the ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of men. That is what love looks like. The Bible reminds us in 1 John, that God is love. You and I would have no capacity to love others, had God not loved us first. But because God so loved the world, He gave us His son Jesus...the embodiment of love itself. What does love look like? Jesus! Let Jesus be your example of how to truly love others.
