Worshiping God with healthy eyes

Posted by Charles Billingsley on

It is true that where my eyes are, is where my attention lies.  For instance, if my child is talking to me and my eyes are on my phone, then the phone is still winning my attention over my child.  Luke 11:34 says, "Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness." In other words, if we keep our eyes on that which is holy, our lives will be a light in a dark world; but if we get distracted and place our eyes on that which is sinful, then we darken not only our own souls, but those around us as well. So, as we strive toward a lifestyle of worship, protect your eyes and keep them healthy by focusing on that which is pure and holy.
