How do I love God with all my soul?

Posted by Charles Billingsley on

Over the last few days we have been talking about the greatest commandment…to love the Lord your God with your whole heart, soul, mind and strength. Yesterday we talked about loving God with your whole heart, so today let's talk about loving God with your soul.  Our souls are the deepest part of our nature.  This is the part of us that stays alive after our bodies are dead.  You can kill the body, but you can't kill a soul. The soul is eternal.  And by the way, the only thing we do here on this earth that we will also do in heaven is worship our Savior.  So to love God with all our soul is to worship Him from the innermost part of our being…the part of us that lasts forever.  David said in a Psalm, "My soul thirsts for God." Can we say the same today?
