Worship God with a Christian worldview

Posted by Charles Billingsley on

I'm trying to teach my kids to have a Christian worldview.  In other words, I want them to know their culture, be able to communicate with their culture, but no get sucked into the temptation and the sin of our culture.  I want my children to be in the world, but not of it.  This means that I must teach my children to be as Scripture says: "wise as serpents, and gentle as doves."  So in order to do this, they must explicitly know two things: what they believe, and why they believe it. I want to encourage you to teach your children what it means to live wisely in this world and to develop a Godly love for their culture.  Not to embrace the things of this world, but rather to embrace the humanity of this world so that as they grow, they grow "in wisdom, in stature, and in favor with God and mankind."
