I believe Jonathan Edwards was correct when he said, “Every Christian family ought to be as it were a little church." As you know, the church exists to bring honor and glory to God. So as Christian families, we should do same. The church also exists to serve the community and reach out to those who don't know the Lord. It is truly a wonderful thing to have a nightly prayer time and daily devotions. This not only grows you closer together, but it also helps ground you in the word of God so that you will have strength throughout your days to live for Him…even when you are alone. If you are not meeting with your family for regular times of prayer, Bible study and devotion, I highly encourage you to begin as soon as you can. It will grow your family into the worshipers God intends you to be.
