Worship the Lord in truth

Posted by Charles Billingsley on

In John chapter 4, as Jesus spoke with the Samaritan woman at Jacob's well, he revealed to her that the location of our worship is not near as important as the heart of our worship.  At the heart of our worship lies two important elements: spirit and truth. To worship in spirit means we worship God from the depths of our souls.  It's not about a place or an object.  God is spirit; His Holy Spirit dwells within us, and so our worship must come from our spirit as well.  Worship is beyond the physical realm. Worship is a spiritual matter.  But worship is also an intellectual matter.  We must worship in truth.  I implore you today to study and meditate on the truth of God’s word.  Know what you believe and why you believe it.
