Worshiping the sacrificial Savior

Posted by Charles Billingsley on

Yesterday was Palm Sunday, the beginning of Passion Week...the week in which Christians all over the world acknowledge and celebrate the sacrifice of our beloved Savior.  He endured that cross for two reasons: you and me.  Motivated by His love for us and the mission of His Father, Jesus willingly laid His life down as an innocent man and bore the sins of the world -past, present and future- upon His beaten and bloodied back.  My friends, if we ever had cause to worship Jesus, we should start at a hill called Golgotha, where Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, despised the shame of the cross and endured it for us.  As Billy Graham once said "God proved His love for us on the cross. When Christ hung, and bled, and died, it was God saying to the world, 'I love You'."  Today…love Him back by worshiping Him.
